More than 80 TLS certificates used by US government websites have expired so far without being renewed, leaving some websites inaccessible or non-secure. Government websites are dropping like flies, with no IT staff around to renew TLS certificates. Some of the US government agencies that are currently impacted are NASA, the US Department of Justice and the Court of Appeals.

SSL certificate authority DigiCert is to revoke more than 23,000 digital certificates resold by UK company Trustico following allegations of a serious security incident. 

According to DigiCert vice president Jeremy Rowley, Trustico requested the revocation at the beginning of February citing a breach, but then emailed DigiCert all of the private keys of its customers' certificates.
