Asfalys Joins the 3D-CIRCULAR Kick-Off:
Shaping the Future of Education and Sustainability
Across Europe

On September 3–4, 2025, Asfalys proudly participated in the official kick-off meeting of the 3D-CIRCULAR project, held in Mitilini on Lesbos Island, Greece. This EU-funded initiative marks a bold step toward building a digitally native, circular economy through advanced education and certification programmes. Hosted by the University of the Aegean, the event brought together a diverse consortium of academic, industrial, and strategic partners committed to Europe’s green and digital transition.

What is 3D-CIRCULAR?

The 3D-CIRCULAR project aims to revolutionise higher education by designing advanced, modular master’s and PhD programmes that blend sustainability, circular economy, digitalisation, and innovation. Its core objectives are to align curricula with EU priorities, support reskilling across all sectors, and strengthen collaboration between universities and industry.

Asfalys' Role and Commitment

Three Asfalys team members, Anastasia Vayona & Tanguy Swinnen, Yorgos Polissiou  attended the kick-off, bringing our digital expertise and strategic insight to the table. Our contribution reflects a growing ambition: to engage with higher education institutions and play a leading role in complex strategy and governance projects across Europe.

Our involvement is driven by three core commitments:
